Y4 STEM Week 2022

This week in school it has been our SJF STEM Week 2022 and here inY4 we revisited our previous topic about Sound, to see how the children would use and apply the knowledge and skills as we focused on how we can soundproof an area.

The children were set the following question:

How can we soundproof Mr Barratt's Office?

The scenario given to the children was that the drumming in music lessons was so loud, that he could not concentrate, and need the children's expertise in order to come up with a solution.

The children researched different ways in which an area could be soundproofed and then came up with a model of how to soundproof Mr Barratt's Office. Here are some photos of it...
