Y3 Hockey Experience

5th Jun 2026

As a valued partner-school in this year's 'Hockey in Schools Programme', our Y3 pupils were invited to attend 'The Hockey in Schools Celebration Day' at Sheffield University Bankers Hockey Club.

We thank our fantastic Y3 children for their enthusiasm and engagement, which contributed to making the overall programme such a tremendous success.

Through the support of this fantastic club and the expert coaching of Wolf Academy Coach, Will Hearne, the programme has reached more than 700 children and young people, providing them with a positive introduction to the sport of hockey. A special thank you goes to Will and everyone at the club for their dedication, support and the resources they provided to make the programme possible.

The celebration event took place at the club's home ground, 'Norton Sports Park', where the children enjoyed a wonderful day of hockey activities and fun. We would also like to thank the staff who helped organise and support this opportunity, ensuring that our pupils could take part in such a memorable experience.

We also thank Mrs Broadhead and Mrs Grayson for sorting all the arrangements and logistics so that our children could participate and all the staff and volunteers who supported our children so brilliantly.
