Y6: World War II

31st Mar 2023

As part of our studies on the Second World War, the Y6 children have this week been learning about some of the major events that took place between the beginning and end of the conflict, from the annexation of the Sudetenland in 1938 and the subsequent invasion of Poland to the surrender of the Japanese Empire in 1945. The Y6 children are building a broad knowledge of World War II, as well as an increasing understanding of some of the specific events and figures involved, from which they are beginning to formulate their own historical arguments.
