Y6 WBD25: Our Favourite Book Characters

9th Mar 2025

On Thursday the children of Y6 celebrated World Book Day 2025 with a range of fun activities. We began the day by reading to our buddies in Y2, before all of the children had lots of fun trying to identify the ‘Masked Readers’: a range of pictures of different adults from school, in various disguises and reading some of their favourite books!

We then returned to class and had a fascinating class-discussion about our favourite books and characters.

Following this, the children each made their very own ‘Character Slinky’ based on their favourite book character, detailing their many characteristics.

To cap off what had been a brilliant day, many of the Y6 children attended the WBD book sale, which took place in aid of Caritas, and purchased a book of their choice!
