Y6 History: Our Visit to the National Holocaust Museum

26th Jan 2024

As we approach Holocaust Memorial Day on Saturday 27th of January, the young people of Year 6 were fortunate this week to visit the National Holocaust Museum.

This visit, which all of the children found fascinating, builds on our developing knowledge of the Second World War, currently being studied within this term’s history unit. In addition to this, our tour of the museum equipped us with key learning on such concepts as discrimination, prejudice, propaganda and the varied forms of antisemitism promoted by the Nazi party in 1930s and 40s Germany.

We all learnt a great deal during our visit, and we would like to thank all of the staff at the National Holocaust Museum for making our day such an informative and interesting one.
