Y6 Science: Classifying Organisms

This week, the children of Year 6 continued their study of biological classification, the focus of our current science unit. They have been exploring the ways in which taxonomists categorise living things based on specific characteristics. Specifically, the children learned about three of the Kingdoms of living organisms: plants, animals, and microorganisms. Every child has made a stunning fact file detailing the defining characteristics of each Kingdom.
