Y6 Science: The Human Circulatory System

7th Sep 2025

The young people of Y6 have made a wonderful start to the new academic year: all of the children have displayed enthusiasm, maturity and a great deal of effort in learning the new routines and objectives within Y6.

This week, we began our study of the human circulatory system, which is our first unit of learning within the Y6 science curriculum. The children worked very hard to understand the anatomy of the heart, as well as its broad functions. This key knowledge forms the basis for our subsequent learning on the circulatory system, which will focus on the role of the arteries, veins and capillaries.
