Y6 RE: St. Francis of Assisi

18th Nov 2023

The children of Year 6 continue to learn about the role of commitment within a Christian's life, this week focusing on the life and teachings of the 11th century Italian friar, St. Francis of Assisi. The children have explored the ways in which commitment towards God influenced St. Francis at various points in his spiritual journey, from his auspicious beginnings as the son of a wealthy merchant, to his religious awakening and subsequent founding of the Franciscan Order.

To showcase their learning, the children have created these fantastic biographies of St. Francis' life which detail the sacrifice and commitment he displayed in his relationship with God.
