Y6 RE: Covenants

26th Sep 2025

This week, as part of our study of the Book of Genesis, the young people of Y6 have been studying the Biblical covenants between God and his people.

They paid particular attention to the covenant made between God and Abraham in Genesis, whereby God made a solemn promise to Abraham that 'all nations will be blessed' through him, in so doing blessing Abraham's descendants.

They also compared this to the Covenant of the New Testament, in which Jesus' sacrifice manifested God's promise to forgive sin.

This is a topic that we shall explore in further detail as the year progresses.
