Y6 RE: Advent

Having entered the first week of Advent, the children of Y6 have been learning about the historical and Biblical context of the season. The children have produced fantastic pieces of work detailing their knowledge of Advent and its significance to Christians around the world. This work, which they have illustrated beautifully, also demonstrates the children's understanding that the birth of Jesus represented 'the Word made flesh', meaning that the prophecies of the Old Testament had been fulfilled and that God was incarnate through Jesus, the Son.
