Y6 Humanities: The Great Railway Revolution!

4th Feb 2022

As part of this term's Y6 historical geography unit on the railway revolution, we have been exploring in greater detail the social and political effects of the advent of the railways.

We have learnt about the political implications of rail travel, such as the distribution of political newspapers and pamphlets and the spread of new political movements.

We have also studied the cultural and social effects, for example, the mixing of different cultures and the wider availability of holidays for families.
