Y6: Poetry

This week the children of Y6 have been studying a range of poetry, with a particular focus on Rudyard Kipling's If. 

We studied the wider context of Victorian poetry, as well as the themes and topics often evident in the work of Kipling specifically, and the historical and cultural factors behind them. The children identified the various values portrayed within If, linking them with our own SJF values.

Finally, the children wrote their poems in the same style, including following the same rhyming pattern.
