Y6: Place Value

This week in mathematics the children of Y6 have been learning how to read and write numbers up to ten million. We have practiced writing large numbers using both numerals and letters, as well as identifying the place value of each numeral. Place value and number recognition is an important first step within the Y6 maths curriculum, ensuring that the children are equipped with the necessary skills for both arithmetic and reasoning learning.
