Y6 PE: The Joy of Moving Project

23rd Feb 2024

The children of Y6 were very happy this week to welcome Mr Wilson from the Sheffield United Community Foundation, who delivered the first of a series of lessons as part of the 'Joy of Moving Project'.

The children took part in a classroom-based lesson, where they studied various aspects of physical health such as diet, heart rate and the benefits of team sports.

Following this, the Y6 children all took part in a balls skills sessions, focusing on team communication and movement.

Over the next six weeks the children will learn a range of physical skills as well as invaluable knowledge which will aim to equip them with the ability to live healthy lifestyles.
