Y6 English: National Poetry Day

In year 6, we looked at a variety of poems including some old classics such as ‘The Owl and the Pussy Cat’ and ‘Tyger, Tyger’.

We also listened to more modern poems and had a giggle at the poem the teachers recited to us!

We listened to a poem story book called ‘The Cow Tripped Over the Moon and other Nursery Rhyme Emergencies.’ Afterwards we had a go at writing our own versions to give to the FS2 children.
