Y6 Jubilee Celebrations!

27th May 2022

On Thursday, Y6 had lots of fun taking part in the St. John Fisher Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We began the day by watching footage of Queen Elizabeth II's coronation at Westminster Abbey in 1953. We also discussed the Queen's many roles as head of state before researching her life in greater detail. We then created some fantastic Queen Elizabeth II fact files based on our research.

Finally, the Y6 children met with their Y2 buddies in the school hall for an afternoon of jubilee dancing! We really enjoyed spending time with Mrs. Broadhead's class, and it was the perfect way to round off a brilliant day of celebration!
