Y6 Geography: Climate Zones

This week Y6 have been identifying the different climate zones of Earth: polar, temperate, Mediterranean, tropical, arid and mountainous. We have looked in detail at the conditions within each area, and the impact of each climate on the physical geography and people in that part of the world. We have also related this learning to knowledge that we have acquired earlier in the unit regarding lines of latitude and longitude, which we have used to locate different areas of the globe that fall within a given climate zone.
