Y6: Geography

10th Nov 2023
This week the children of Year 6 have been writing chronological reports about the Derbyshire village of Castleton, which forms the basis of our current geography unit.  Having visited Castleton in October for our residential at the Hollowford Centre, we built upon our existing knowledge by researching aspects of Castleton's physical and human geography, as well as history. Finally, we produced these fantastic reports which include detailed information on topics such as Castleton's economy, Peveril Castle and the mineral Blue John, which is unique to Castleton's caves and caverns.
