This week our Y6 pupils have been writing formal letters.
We have discussed the conventions of formal language, as well as the proper formatting for letter writing. The children have all worked hard to ensure that their writing contains all the necessary features.
They have also been using their editing skills in order to increase the formality of their letters. For example, removing contractions and substituting informal words for more formal ones.
