This year, the young people of Y6 have worked incredibly hard to learn the various Y6 grammar objectives ahead of their KS2 Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling Assessments. The children have built upon their existing knowledge to learn a range of complex sentence structures, tenses and clause-types, as well as the many word classes and their definitions. They have built a fantastic knowledge of complex punctuation such as colons, semicolons and plural apostrophes, which they are increasingly using in their own writing.
This week, the children have focused on revising their grammar knowledge, ensuring that they can both remember every objective and apply their knowledge in their writing.
