Y6 Be Safe Be Happy Week: Making Apple Crumble

9th Nov 2025

Our focus on feeling happy continued when we were thrilled to welcome representatives from Taylor Shaw, our hot dinner supplier, who organised a fantastic baking lesson! The Y6 children had a wonderful time making a classic treat: apple crumble. The pupils carefully prepared the mixture, learned new skills, and each child went home with their very own individual apple crumble, ready to be baked in the oven. Cooking is a brilliant way to build confidence and engage in a focused, creative task. We would like to thank Taylor Shaw for facilitating such a fun and engaging experience.
