Y6 Be Safe Be Happy Week 2025: Miniature Shetland Ponies

To begin our annual Be Safe, Be Happy Week, the young people of Y6 spent time with two miniature Shetland ponies! The children had a fantastic time petting and interacting with the 'wellbeing' ponies, which brought huge smiles and a lovely sense of calm to the class. This activity links perfectly with our focus on happiness, as research indicates that spending time with animals can have significant positive effects on mental wellbeing, helping to reduce stress and anxiety while boosting mood.
