Y5: Understanding Earth's Orbit

This week in Y5 Science we have been exploring the effects of the Earth's orbit around the Sun. We have investigated how the Earth's tilt of 23.4 degrees and the different stages of our planet's orbit results in the different seasons of the year. In our work we have also defined different scientific terms and concepts like axis, orbit, pole, winter solstice, summer solstice and northern and southern hemisphere.
