Y5 Science: Investigatting Forces

This week, our children made parachutes in order to explore air resistance. They investigated with different designs would affect descent times by doing fair tests on the different parachutes. The discovered that parachutes with larger canopies stayed in the air longer because their greater surface area caught more air, creating increased air resistance.
