As part of our 'Livings Things' science unit, we have been exploring the life cycles of birds. We have added to our scientific vocabulary, learning words such as hatchling, fledgling and warm-blooded. We also investigated each step of a bird's life and we compared this life-cycle to that of mammals and reptiles. Finally, we created these brilliant diagrams which detail the amazing journey of a bird from egg to adulthood.
