Y5: Representing Fractions

This week in Y5 we have been looking at the different way in which we can represent different fractions. We have used pictures, physical mathematical resources, pieces of card and number lines to represent various fractions. We have also been paying particular attention to our mathematical language when exploring the concepts of the numerator, denominator and vinculum.
