This term, we brought the famous Eastern European folktale Baba Yaga to life by recreating key scenes as a tableau. The story tells of the mysterious witch Baba Yaga, who lives deep in the forest in a magical house standing on chicken legs. Through freeze frames, we explored the characters' emotions, relationships and key events, deepening our understanding of the tale's themes of courage, resilience and making wise choices. This inspired us to write our own imaginative fairy tales, using rich description, suspense and memorable characters.
