Y4 Science: How long are our intestines?

In a fun experiment this week the children of Y4 have used their knowledge of the human body to make some educated guesses about our digestive system. We headed outside and made our predictions of how long we think the small intestine actually is.

The children were very surprised to learn that it is actually an amazing 6 meters in length! We used ropes to show the lengths on the playground. It was great fun!
