Y4 Science: Investigating the Components in Circuits

12th Feb 2026

In our last science lesson this term, our Y4 children explored the impact of changing different components in a simple electrical circuit. They tested how to use switches to break a continuous loop of electricity (and learned how this is used as a safety feature) and how to get a buzzer to work. This will be helpful as they learn how to design and build a burglar alarm next term. Well done, everyone!
