Y4 RE: Abraham's Faith

2nd Oct 2025

In RE this week, our Y4 children have thought carefully about the story of Abraham and specifically how hard it must have been for him to follow God's wish for him to to sacrifice his beloved son Isaac.

The children discussed the relevance of this 'Geneisis' story in today's world, and reflected on what it still teaches us today. They learned that in the past the story helped people to understand and know the depth of God's love for each of us, and the importance of having absolute faith in Him. Our Y4 children made the link between the Jesus' sacrifice for us, and how God has a loving plan for everyone.

Abraham's story is filled with faith, hope and love...

The children illustrated this in two different lenses (glasses) and then wrote about how the past and the present reminds us to just have confidence and trust in God.

Beautiful work, Y4. Well done!
