Y4 RE: Exploring the Parable of 'The Prodigal Son'

27th Feb 2026

This week in RE, our learning has focused on the themes of repentance, compassion and forgiveness as seen in the parable of the Prodigal Son. Our Y4 children explored the idea that they are children of God, and therefore they are always loved - and never abandoned by God the Father.

The story helped our children share some beautiful thoughts and ideas about how they can stay close to God, particularly as they journey through Lent, and reminded us to show compassion and forgiveness to others when needed. Well done everyone!
