Y4 History: Debating, Ancient Greek Style!

This week our Y4 historians have learned about the differences and similarities between the Ancient Greek cities of Sparta and Athens.

The children learned about democracy and the importance of debating in the lives of the Ancient Greeks. They then had a debate to decide which of the two city states the children would prefer to live in.

Votes were cast (using pebbles).

Sparta won (and successfully persuaded some Athenians to join their city).
