Y4 Geography: All Around the World!

23rd Feb 2024

This term, the children of Y4 will learn about the effects of climate on the places of the world, and on the peoples living there.

To begin with, they have explored why the world is divided into sectors - the Northern and Southern Hemispheres - and have looked at individual countries within them. The children have created some amazing work, conducting their own investigations into their chosen countries from the northern and southern hemispheres or equatorial zone, applying their prior knowledge and using atlases.

Everyone had great fun learning about the different countries they had chosen, and this led to a great whole-class discussion about the differing climates and population levels within them.
