Y4 English: Exploring Traditional Tales

2nd Jun 2026

Our Y4 children began an exciting new writing topic this week, exploring the features of traditional moral tales, such as those written by Aesop, the Ancient Greek storyteller.

The children challenged themselves to create alternative endings to well-known fables, including The Tortoise and the Hare. They were eager to share their imaginative ideas with the class and did so with confidence and enthusiasm.

Well done everyone, for being such brave orators, creative writers and eloquent storytellers!
