Y4 Design & Technology: Investigating Moving Parts

This week, our Y4 children explored the key mechanisms used in pop-up books, including levers, linkages and pivots. They applied this knowledge through the design process to create a product for children aged 6–9. Inspired by How to Train Your Dragon and their recent report-writing in English, pupils designed pop-up dragon information cards. The photos show our busy Y4 designers at work, demonstrating great imagination and strong design skills.
