Y3 Mathematics: Investigating the Properties of Shapes!

In our maths lessons we have been thinking about the properties of different shapes. 

We investigated using 'geoboards' and elastic bands in order to create different shapes.

We then considered:

  • the types of angles of each shape
  • the number of vertices and sides
  • whether the shapes had any perpendicular or parallel lines 

We worked brilliantly in our pairs and and had fun investigating lots of different shapes!
