Y3 Black History Month: Exploring the Life of Usain Bolt

29th Oct 2020

The children of Y3 investigated the life of world famous Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt. They studied his life and influences as well as his many achievements. The children also learned about his home country, Jamaica.

They studied the Jamaican flag and learned about its features so they could each create their own version in the shape of the island of Jamaica.

Whilst learning about Jamaica the children discovered lots of interesting facts about its many natural and human landmarks. The children really enjoyed learning about Usain’s life and homeland.
