Y1 Science: Investigating Senses

Last week the children learned about their five senses and the different body parts they are linked to.

smell - nose
sight - eyes
taste - tongue
touch - skin
hearing - ears

This week the children enjoyed engaging with a carousel of activities that involved testing their senses and using the key words linked to them.

They experienced mystery smells; tasting unknown foods; describing how mystery items in bags felt; and using a magnifying glass to look carefully at shells, so they could be drawn with lots of detail.

They also enjoyed being part of a fun whole-class listening game.
