After playing games to practise saying the months of the year in order, our Y1 children worked with partners to create a twelve-month paper chain. Each link represented a month, which helped them to visualise the sequence.
The separate chains were then together to show that after December the months do not end, but rather, they begin again with a new year.
Please ask your child to say the months of the year in order, or name a moth and see if they can name the month before and after.
