Y1 Maths: Investigating Length!

The lesson started outside, with the children collecting sticks from the field. They then compared them, whilst trying to use appropriate vocabualry including: longer, longest, shorter and shortest. Everyone then made a 'cube train' and compared the length of this with objects around the classroom.
