Y1 History: Investigating Toys

10th Nov 2025

Last term, our Year 1 children loved learning about toys from the past.

Today, we were delighted to welcome a familiar face, Mrs Gregory, who works in our breakfast club and at lunchtimes. She brought along her old teddy bear to talk about and show the class. The children had prepared some thoughtful questions beforehand, including:

  • How old is your bear?

  • What is your bear called?

  • Where did you get your bear?

Everyone listened carefully and enjoyed hearing all about the bear’s history before recording what they had learned in their books.
