Y1 History: Investigating Communication!

Our Y1 children have been thinking about how people communicated in the past. They came up with letters, telephones and face-to-face conversations. They then explored how telephones have changed over the years and reflected on how they could be used to make calls to and from people's homes, or from telephone boxes. They listed the things that can be done with telephones today, including, sending emails, taking photographs, texting/direct messaging and making calls from anywhere - in and out of the home. The children really enjoyed role-playing with various phones too.
