Y1 Geography: Investigating Aerial photos and Plan Views

The children enjoyed exploring an aerial photograph of our school and loved spotting familiar features such as the MUGA, the buddy shed and the bins. We talked about how things look different when viewed from above compared to real life.

Working in groups, the children then created their own plans of the school and playground, using objects to represent different features. Each group shared and explained their plan to the rest of the class.
