Y1 English: The Train Ride

Our Y1 children began a new key text as they started the new term.

'The Train Ride' takes the children on a journey where they explore a range of features, including the town and the countryside. We will be using the book to introduce the children to using adjectives to describe nouns, for example, a red train.

To get the children excited they went on a pretend train journey, which was lots of fun and prompted a rich discussion that generated ideas and the sharing of some great vocabulary linking to how the children felt.
