We hope you enjoy our collection of short poems, which the Y6 children have performed this week in celebration of World Book Day.
The children performed their chosen poems to each other in a dedicated poetry lesson in class, whilst some have been filmed for this collective. Everyone has been involved, and discovered the vast differences in poetry styles. Some children chose humorous poetry, with rhymes and a chorus, whilst others looked for poems that stirred emotions or described complex feelings.
The film will be shown as part of a wider celebration of poetry in classrooms across the school on World Book Day.
