Winter

10th Jan 2018

We have begun our new term thinking about the winter season and how we know it is winter.  We had a wander around outside, created mind maps and looked at pictures.  We thought about animal behavior, daylight hours, weather, clothes needed, festivals, tree and more.  We then sorted clothes into winter and not winter and gave ideas for our choices.  The next day we went outside to try to draw bare winter trees.  We also watched a video of how to draw trees.  We drew them in chalk and charcoal.  In English we wrote descriptive winter counting poems.  All the work has made for a great display in class.
