Y4 Weekly Update!

20th Sep 2024

Another week has absolutely flown by, and in Year 4 we are going from strength to strength.

In our English lessons, we have started to plan our newspaper report based on the attack on Heorot by the monster Grendel, and we have gathered together a fantastic variety of descriptive language to support this.

For mathematics we focused on rounding four-digit numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000.  This proved to be quite tricky at first, but by the end of the week we have been able to take a four digit number and round it in three different ways.

Finally, as part of our design technology lessons we are designing a healthy sandwich, and next week we will be sampling a range of different foods that we might include in our culinary creation. For a smiley or two next week- what are the different food groups that we have looked at?

Have a great weekend,

Mr. Folmer
