Week 6 in FS2

Before breaking up for the holiday our FS2 children learned about Easter traditions in the UK and around the world. They also enjoyed a range of Easter crafts and sang Easter songs. On the last day of term they took part in an exciting egg hunt in our outdoor area, using maths skills to work out how many eggs they needed to find and how many were still missing at the end.

Most importantly, the children listened carefully to the Easter story as they learned more about the events of Holy Week. They made their own palm leaves and acted out the story of Palm Sunday and in their final Lenten reflections they prayed that they would be able to follow Jesus’ example of kindness and forgiveness in their daily lives.
