The Y3 children researched Andy Warhol and looked at his printing images of Mount Vesuvius.
They practised drawing lines to create their own ‘Vesuvius’ artwork and then looked to add contrasting colours to create an image of balance with chaos. We talked about how complementary colours are opposite each other on the colour wheel.
They contrast with each other and they are used to create an impact, an example being that green and red are complementary colours.
