Y1 Geography: Investigating Transport

15th Jan 2022

Today the children were challenged, whilst working in groups, work in groups, to think of 20 or more modes of transport.

The children were fantastic, and managed to come with some really great ideas! In the end they were able to list a lot more than 20!

Once we had our list the children then sorted the different modes of transport under the following headings:

  • land
  • sea
  • air

They then used a tree diagram in order to add pictures and extend the sorting with ideas of their own.

The children will be bringing home an optional home-learning task related to our transport topic. There are lots of different options and we look forward to seeing what the children enjoy doing over the next term term.
